Summer Recap - July continued.....

Cousins, blessings, birthdays, swimming oh my!

I realize it's November and 2011 is quickly coming to a close but I still have some documenting from our warmer months and the sunshine filled photos will help me survive the blasted wind that's keeping me home-bound.

Cousins:
For the second year in a row we were lucky enough to have our California beach boy spend a few days at our place.  It's so much fun to see him delight is the difference between the two lifestyles and soak up our everyday moments as new adventures.  I adore this handsome boy and had so many moments where I saw him as a younger version of his teenage dad.

The muscle picture below......I swear we have one exactly like that of his dad.

Just as we sent Jayden away, we celebrated our baby boy with family for his big blessing day. We had such great support on both sides of our family, lots of yummy food, and gorgeous weather.  And the man of the hour, well, he was a gem and soaked up all the attention.....sleeping, of course.

My favorite photo of the day was after the company all left and my big boy scooped up his mini and relaxed together on the couch.

Sometimes I feel a little sorry for myself that all my siblings live away and many of them live by each other, but on days like this I am so appreciative of all the support we have on both sides of our giant families and realize that if we all lived close to each other  it might be a bit overwhelming.  That being said, I still get a little jealous of the Boise and California folks.

There, I said it.

July also brought a getaway to our condo in Eden, Utah, my absolute favorite place on earth....or one of them.  Maggie enjoyed her bff, the other girls spent time with cousins and I enjoyed doing a whole lot of nothing but soaking up the beautiful scenery, good company and kissing on my boy.

(Thanks Carly for the photos)

My babe who is no longer a babe turned 4 and we did our best to make this girl feel like a million bucks.  We spent the entire day at the water park in Pocatello with friends and family then managed to eat some yummy cake just in time for bed.  I made this lemonade cake from Pinterest (the site I lllloooovvvvveeee) and told her all about the day she was born.  Maggie is such a delightful child and being her mom is an honor.

  1. I subbed in Sunbeams yesterday and I have to say that Maggie just melted my heart. She would whisper to Tessa, "I have a secret... Bennett is a silly goose!" haha. Four-year-old gossip. I loved it. It's amazing to think that Parker is only a year away from that kind of funniness. =)
