More Sewing #10 & 11

{Shirring}

I have had shirring tutorials bookmarked for years and countless projects-to-be-done tucked away in my overflowing brain.  You see, I've decided that I'm really good and finding things I want to sew, and since I'm still a novice sewer they mostly stay filed away at things I would love to do.  Shirring has been one of them.  Thankfully, Carly gave me a little one-on-one lesson and I started shirring away.  I'm afraid I won't stop either since it's so dang easy and I love the outcome.

Project #10 - sundresses for baby gifts.  I bought the first fabric several years ago with the intention to make a sundress but just got around to getting it done.  The bodice shrunk more than I anticipated so I just made it work for a smaller child.

Project #11 - well, why not some more skirts?  They're super easy and make fun gifts as well.

One more to go....and I'm just getting started.

  1. You are so talented Nat! Love them. One day I wanna learn how to sew. So is shirring the thing you did on the bodice part of the dress? That is incredible if you did that yourself.
